7 Naked Palette Tutorials Perfect For Holiday

by Melanie Richtman

With the holidays come plenty of opportunities to get all dolled up, and that's where Urban Decay's Naked palette collection really comes in clutch. Whatever your Naked palette of choice — I personally own Naked 2 and love it, but I also have taken a liking to the rose gold hues in the Naked 3 palette — there is a holiday Naked palette tutorial out there for you. There are so many different looks you can create for the holidays, whether you want a dramatic smokey eye, a really natural eye makeup look, or something in between.

The Naked palettes are great because they allow you to build in intensity, so if you want to rock a deep purple lip, you can complement it with a natural look using colors like "Bootycall," "Half Baked," and "Verve" (some of my Naked 2 palette favs), but if you want to play up your eyes and keep your lips bare, you have the flexibility to create a dramatic, jaw-dropping look with the darker shades, like "Gunmetal" and "Creep" from the original Naked palette.

Here are a few tutorials to get you through the holiday season.

1. An Eye Makeup Look For Every Occasion

This look can be worn to any holiday event you might have to attend, and it's pretty easy to do.

2. A Natural Look

A natural look like this one is perfect for pairing with a dramatic lip.

3. A Grungy Smokey Eye

Just because it's the holidays doesn't mean you can't be a little edgy.

4. A Shimmery Smokey Eye

For New Year's Eve, you can play up your eyes by focusing on the shimmery shades in the Naked palette(s).

5. A Golden Smokey Eye

You can totally wear a gold smokey eye all year, but there's something about the holidays that makes it seem way more special.

6. A Dramatic Look

Might as well rock a dramatic eye with that slinky evening dress, right?

7. A Soft, Rose Gold Eye

This rose gold look is just really pretty. That is all.
