Demi Lovato & Wilmer Valderrama Are Too Cute

There are countless awards being bestowed on musicians tonight — and, with all this talent in one place, many of them will be tough calls. But here's one that isn't — Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama are the cutest couple at the American Music Awards, hands down. (Sorry, Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor 'shippers — but these two are, you know, actually officially dating.) Although they're holding back from any over-the-top displays of affection, Lovato and Valderrama were spotted holding hands in the audience as Gwen Stefani performed "Used To Love You" and it was adorable.

Lovato and Valderrama have been dating for five years, and they've supported each other through many ups and downs. Lovato has been open about her struggles with an eating disorder and substance abuse — but she's a true inspiration because she faced her issues head-on and entered rehab. Although they mostly keep the details of their relationship private, Lovato recently revealed how Valderrama supported her during that dark time in her life: "People told him, 'You should probably leave. She's on a spiral, and you're going to be sucked down with it'... But he was like, 'I'm not leaving. This is somebody I really care about.'"

Of course, Lovato was the only one who could save herself and she did just that — but Valderrama also deserves props for sticking by her even when things weren't easy. It's great to see Lovato looking so healthy and happy — and with a guy who appreciates her and treats her the way she deserves. I mean, come on — are they not the cutest?
