Catch Elizabeth Olsen In The Row

by Rosie W.

In a sweet show of support, Elizabeth Olsen wore a suit designed by her sisters. The younger Olsen, who has gained popularity after appearing in blockbusters such as Godzilla and The Avengers: Age of Ultron, wore The Row's contemporary white suit to the 2016 Independent Spirit Awards, PopSugar reports. The suit features a geometric open collar, a peplum-inspired flared waist, and tailored straight leg trousers, and while it is gorgeous, all I can think of is how Olsen's handlers must have stood just out of frame nervously clutching Tide To Go pens the whole night.

Though Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen told the Daily News that they are unlikely to return to acting, they have developed two highly successful ready to wear fashion lines: The Row and Elizabeth and James. After The Row earned them a CDFA Womenswear Designer of the Year award in 2012, the pair went on to open a flagship store for the line in New York in 2015. Aside from their sister, the pair's designs have been spotted on celebrities such as Selena Gomez, Emma Stone, and Cameron Diaz.

While the only way I could afford to wear The Row would be to sell my bodily organs, I appreciate the clean lines the label favors. That, and the Olsen's excellent decision to use lots and lots of leather, which many of their celebrities (pictured below) seem to appreciate.

Here is Olsen rocking that dramatic suit.

See? Leather. I love how Diaz accessorized this mini with nude pumps.

2. Keri Russell

More leather! Russell went for a forest green version of the dress, which I dig.

3. Natalie Dormer

I meant it about the leather. Don't worry, this is the last one. Dormer, who in my book can do no wrong, is wearing what I want my entire wardrobe to emulate here.

4. Rachel Taylor

Taylor isn't wearing leather, but she is wearing another Row staple: black!

5. Elizabeth Olsen

Olsen looked classy and very New York in this (black) sweeping coat.

6. Amber Heard

I've got to commend Heard for venturing out in head-to-toe silk, because while she looks fabulous, can you imagine how much shape wear she suffered through (not that she, or anyone, needs it)? Also, I wish it was black.

7. Brit Marling

Kudos to Marling for wearing brown, which isn't a popular color for photo ops, I assume because it is... brown. I think this look would have been really cute had she paired the blouse with a leather mini instead.
