When Will Beyonce's Topshop Line Be Released?

by Marc Cuenco

It's been over a year since the exciting partnership was announced, but now Beyoncé's Topshop line will be released in April 2016. The pop superstar's athleisure brand, called Parkwood Topshop Athletic Ltd., was originally planned for a fall release, but technical delays pushed the launch to next year. The good news is that Beyoncé will oversee much of the creative and production process of her first fashion line. Bey released a statement released last October about her exciting partnership with the British retailer.

"I have always loved Topshop for its fashion credentials and forward thinking," she said. "Working with its development team to create and produce a technical and fashion-led collection is exciting and I'm looking forward to participating in all aspects of this partnership." Parkwood (named after Bey's entertainment and management company) is Topshop's first foray into the athleisure market and will include clothing, footwear, and accessories. According to the initial announcement, Beyoncé's athletic wear line will also feature apparel in the dancewear category.

Celebrity-backed collaborations has proven extremely well in the fast fashion market, especially with the recent success of Balmain x H&M and Lilly Pulitzer for Target, but it's even more astronomical when the name attached is an international music icon with a loyal fan base, like the sold-out Rihanna PUMA Creepers. Beyoncé will not only bring her A-list status to the brand, but also her expertise in the active lifestyle market.

As one of the most recognizable names in the world, Beyoncé has collaborated in other fashion and beauty ventures throughout her career. Here are four of her most popular endorsements:

H&M

She starred in H&M's summer 2013 campaign, which included the unreleased song "Standing on the Sun."

House of Deréon is Bey's most personal collaboration yet. She launched the brand alongside her mother and the label's designer Tina Knowles in 2005.
