Update: On Wednesday, Dec. 2, a shooting at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, California, left 14 people dead and 21 wounded. Hours after the attack, police pursued information that led to a chase of a dark SUV, which was later determined to be a rental car. A shootout between police and the suspects left both suspects dead. The suspects were identified as Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik, who were husband and wife.

According to federal law enforcement authorities, the four guns used in the shooting were purchased legally. The suspects were found to have 1,600 rounds of ammunition with them, and at a home the suspects were renting in Redlands, California, law enforcement officers found 4,500 rounds of ammunition and 12 pipe bombs. No official motive has been confirmed, though a source told the Los Angeles Times that investigators are considering a combined motive of "terrorism and workplace."

The identity and locations of the San Bernardino shooters are so far unconfirmed, though police have reportedly confirmed that there are one to three suspects and that the shooters "came prepared" with long guns. The LA Times is reporting that authorities are searching for a black SUV that fled the scene of the shooting, though it is unclear whether there were suspects or victims inside. According to BuzzFeed News, Police spokesperson Sgt. Vicki Cervantes told reporters that witnesses claimed to have seen the shooters fleeing in the vehicle.

The San Bernardino Sheriff's department urged people with information as to the location of the shooters to call with any leads. An unconfirmed Reddit live feed of the event mentioned several reports of suspicious persons in the area, and said that police scanner feeds showed that the law enforcement was receiving a high volume of similar reports. Residents of the area are also reporting police movement.

Many reports are confirming fatalities in the attack on the center, which provides health services for individuals with developmental disabilities. According to TIME, authorities are warning locals to avoid the area, as the police are still unsure of the shooter or shooters' location and believe they may be armed with AK-47-type weapons. CNN reported that the center's executive director, Lavinia Johnson said that the staff is being moved to a nearby church.
