Eva Longoria's Gorg Shadow Came From The Drugstore

by Kali Borovic

It's that time of the year where smokey eyes are amped up and outfits get a bit more sparkly, but that doesn't mean you have to spend a ton of money to bring on the drama. Eva Longoria shared her favorite eyeshadow on Instagram, and it happens to be from the drugstore, proving that great makeup isn't always super expensive. Who knew there were so many winning beauty products right within the aisles of your local CVS?

Longoria appeared on Jimmy Fallon's show last night, looking as fabulous as always. She talked about her new show Telenova and played some seriously crazy games, but her smokey makeup was what really stole my attention. The actress is no stranger to fabulous makeup, but she amped her everyday, long lashed look with a black smokey shadow that's perfect for the holiday season. She even gave her Instagram followers a quick tip on where to find the perfect shade — the drugstore!

According to her Instagram post, Longoria named Loreal Paris' Eternal Black Infallible eyeshadow the best black eyeshadow. Coming from a master of the smokey eye trend, this is a ringing endorsement. If she likes it, you know it must really be good. For under $10, the product brought just the right amount of sparkly to brighten up her all-black outfit, while making an edgy and fierce statement.

Just look at that sparkle! Paired with a glossy lip and rosy cheek, she packed on the color in all the right places.

It's not often you see an all black look that incorporates such a heavy shadow, but she wears it well.

Longoria isn't the only one who loves drugstore products either. Some of the best tutorials out there are the ones that show you how to experiment with color without shelling out a ton of money. Check out these drugstore tutorials to get you inspired to rock some heavy holiday makeup looks for less.

1. Subtly Smokey

By adding a little color underneath the eye, you can get away with doing not so much but still looking dramatic.

2. Classic Black

Using just one drugstore palette, you can create this ultra-smokey eye look that's super similar to Longoria's.

3. A Little Lighter

This blogger uses a brown palette to create her smokey eye, but she shows how even a light color can be packed on for a bit more emphasis.

4. Silver Shine

If you're looking for a sparkly way to celebrate the holidays, then this is the tutorial for you.

5. Fall Colors

Using the same palette as the third tutorial, this how-to shows a more colorful way to land a smokey eye.

6. Neutral Tones

This look is completely wearable any day of the year, but add a red lip and you'll be ready to go for the holidays.

7. Extreme Red And Green

I never though red and green could be used in the same makeup look, but Jaclyn Hill makes me a believer.
