Harry's Hair Will Be Long When 1D Gets A Grammy

Yep, that's right: Another year, another One Direction Grammy nomination snub. I mean, to be fair, One Direction's most recent album Made in the A.M. wasn't eligible for any nominations — according to the official Grammys FAQ, the eligibility period is Oct 1, 2014 to Sept. 30, 2015, and Made in the A.M. was released on Nov. 13, 2015 — but their single "Drag Me Down" was still eligible, and considering it's one of their last before they go on a very extended hiatus, I at least thought they'd secure one nomination this year. Also, you know, because it's a good song.

Sadly, this is actually a pretty familiar situation: One Direction has a long history of being snubbed by the Grammys, even when the thought of a lengthy hiatus isn't lingering in the near future. Just last year, for the 2015 nominations, Midnight Memories wasn't recognized as the awesome album it was — and in the years before that, their previous albums were never nominated for any Grammy Awards. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that One Direction has never received a Grammy nomination, despite being one of the biggest boy bands in the world.

I know. It's insanity.

At this rate, I'm pretty sure that by the time One Direction actually secures a Grammy nom — you know, assuming they don't become the Leonardo DiCaprios of the music industry — Harry Styles' hair will be so long, it will be Rapunzel length. Like, OK, think about it: Styles said during a recent appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden that he doesn't plan on cutting his hair until it's pretty long so he can donate it, so it's safe to assume that flowing mane of hair is only going to get longer. Since most studies report that hair grows between 6 and 12 inches per year (holla, LiveScience), if One Direction were to be nominated for Made in the A.M. exactly a year from now when the album is eligible, Styles' hair would be at least double the length it is now — like, it would be flowing down his back, and probably prettier than mine.

In fact, it would probably look something like this:

Of course... for this to be a reality, One Direction would need a Grammy nomination. It has to happen one day, right? Right?!
