Florence Welch's Many Red Carpet Triumphs

by Rosie Narasaki

There were snubs. There were surprises. This year's Grammy nominations managed to defy expectations in more than one category — but with that said, Florence + the Machine snagged four Grammys nominations and I, for one, am grateful that talented songstress Florence Welch is getting the recognition she so deserves.

Florence + the Machine was nominated across four (major!) categories, including Best Pop Group/Duo Performance ("Ship to Wreck"), Best Pop Vocal Album (How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful), and Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song (both for "What Kind of Man"). Not bad, eh? Add all that Grammy success to her current tour, and it's been quite a year for Ms. Welch.

So, with that in mind, let's celebrate her Grammy nods with a trip down sartorial memory lane — after all, Welch has had exemplary style, pretty much from day one. She manages to impart a fun, boho edge to everything she wears — and whether it's diaphanous gowns from Valentino, or '70s-fantabulous prints from Gucci, she's always managed to look the very picture of fabulous. Let's take a look at some of her best red carpet moments from over the years!

No one could pull of swan-printed couture quite like Florence here (except Liv Tyler, of course).

Fabulous.
