2016 SAG Nominations Are Finally Here

I honestly can't believe that the end of 2015 is nearly here. It seems like only yesterday we were ringing in the new year, and now we're just about ready to usher in another one. Where does the time go? Before I get too philosophical and sad about how short life really is, let's concentrate on the good stuff: Nominations for the 2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards are here, and they offer us some pretty good insight as to what we can expect at the other awards shows coming up next year — particularly the Golden Globes, which will announce its own nominees on Thursday, December 10.

Admittedly, there were no major surprises among the SAG nominations for this year. The much talked-about actors and movies make an appearance, as do celebrated TV shows and actors, and that's a good thing. With so much amazing entertainment out this year, the list of nominees likely could have been way longer, but it's good to see some diverse and talented actors, writers, directors, and projects get the credit they deserve. Who will win is anyone's guess, but let's look on the bright side: even if a nominee misses out on winning the SAG Award, there's every chance they could pick up a Golden Globe. Time will tell, but for now, let's just enjoy the 22nd Annual SAG Awards nominations, shall we?
