How To Get Dressed Up For The Winter

It's no secret that winter weather comes with its own unique set of woes. While the colder air does bring the holiday season, it also means holiday parties in chilly temps. So, knowing how to get dressed up for the winter becomes key when deciding which ensemble will not only keep you stylish, but warm. Thankfully, winter fashion is not boring, and with options like layering, boots, and tights, you'll basically be set when it comes to your winter holiday dress.

While there are several winter fashion rules that have long been hammered into women's heads, the truth is that there's totally room to break with tradition during the colder months, and that's definitely true when it comes to dressing up. Socks or tights with strappy sandals? Totally okay. Plus, winter means layers. Whether it's vests filled with down, tights, a killer blanket scarf, or a great knee sock under a boot, layering means you get to stay warm and wear more clothes, so what's not to love?

While everyday wear is pretty simple during the winter, business casual, business, and party looks complicate things a bit. Don't worry too much though, because I've got you covered for those times when you're searching for an answer to how to dress up in winter.
