Adele Is Finally Touring In North America

by Kadeen Griffiths

Ever since Adele's triumphant return to the music scene after a four year hiatus, people around the world have been obsessed. And for good reason. Between her hit single "Hello," her hit album 25, and her numerous appearances on talk shows and in concerts that show off exactly how adorable she is as a person, why wouldn't you be a fan of Adele? (The fact that 25 isn't available to stream on Spotify aside, of course.) On Monday, Adele announced her North American tour dates at long last, which comes as a powerful relief to those of us over here in the States who had been looking at her European tour dates with envy and longing because we don't have enough money saved up to buy tickets for both the plane and the concert all willy-nilly. Now, all I want for Christmas are Adele tickets, and I know I'm not alone on that.

Her European tour was announced with an adorable YouTube video that featured a collection of outtakes of Adele completely messing up the announcement — which, of course, only made all of us want to go even more. Meanwhile, the North American tour was announced on her Twitter, with a heart-eyed smiley face and a link to the website listing all of the tour dates and cities across North America, from the United States to Canada to Mexico. Considering exactly how long it's been since Adele was on tour in the U.S., you'll forgive me for jumping up and screaming in the privacy of my own bedroom.

Of course, the people on all the other continents are out of luck at the moment because Adele has still shown no indication that she's about to go on, say, an Australian tour or an Asian tour, or even an African tour. However, the people of North America have been put out of their lack-of-Adele-tour-induced misery, and I'm going to be happy for them instead of lamenting what could have been. Mostly because I live among them, so this is very good for me. And, you know, I'm a terrible person.

Tickets go on sale on December 17. Check out the tour dates below, and hope that you're lucky enough to have Adele coming to your city. Then again, even if you're not, at the very least you have an excuse to grab a bunch of your friends, hop in the car, and road trip your way to an adventure that ends in an Adele concert. And what could be better than that?
