Beyonce's Coming To Your Grammys, Prepare

by Alanna Bennett

Because the pop musical gods can sometimes find it in themselves to be benevolent wish-granters, performances from both Beyoncé and Madonna may be in our Grammy not-so-distant future, and when I first heard this news I immediately jumped to the conclusion that it must be for some sort of dream-fulfilling duet between the two, but alas, the world is not always so kind.

Still, what we've got is pretty cool: Madonna is rumored to be scheduled to pop up into the performance of one of the nominated parties of the night for some legendary supportive backup vocal action.

Beyoncé, for her part? Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich is being coy on the matter, but he's also simultaneously dropping the biggest hints he can without flat out saying "Beyoncé's happening, bitches, prepare yourselves":

Let’s put it this way … we have a really great history that goes back to the early days of Destiny’s Child. I love working with [Beyoncé]. She’s incredible. She is so into what it is that she does and making sure that everybody who sees her walks away saying, ‘wow.’ Should she be on the show this year? I would think that the potential is there for that kind of moment.

In other words: Beyoncé's performing, and you best get ready. It would be a big moment for Beyoncé, and for the world, as a Grammy performance would be the first televised promotion of that little groundbreaking album she sprang on the world not so long ago. Plus, remember the Superbowl? That got so epic it literally shut the power down.
