Kat Von D's Fake Eyelashes Trick Is Different

The best thing about makeup is how versatile it is, and some of the best beauty creations are the most unexpected. Kat Von D put fake eyelashes underneath her eye in her latest tutorial, creating might the the coolest makeup look I've ever seen. I know it sounds a little bizarre, but this woman is an artist, so she won't lead you astray.

Just about anyone can achieve a smokey eye or experiment with color, but not just anyone can create a look this bold and pull it off effortlessly. Von D posted a new makeup tutorial with Instagram beauty guru JusCallMeTara, in which she turns bright red eyeliner and fake lashes into a show-stopping look. You'll have to see this one to believe it.

The tutorial starts with painting a pair of fake lashes red (yes, you read that correctly) so you things are about to get interesting. Then Von D shades and contours her face, uses lipstick as eyeliner, and then applies lashes underneath her eye. No one said this was your typical look, but there's nothing cooler than learning new makeup tricks from a fabulous artist — even if you don't actually wear it out of the house.

So it's not your average eyeliner, but it would be so much fun to rock this as a quirky holiday beauty look this December. Just add a few stripes of green and you'll have festive Christmas makeup that will surely be the talk of the party.
