Steal Carey Mulligan's Metallic Party Style

Is it just me, or has Carey Mulligan been killing the red carpet lately? After taking something of a break from the spotlight (you know, just to birth a daughter, no big deal), she's been back on the scene in a major way promoting her awards circuit early favorite, Suffragette. Unfortunately, Mulligan was snubbed by the Golden Globes for her turn as fictional feminist Maud Watts, but who knows what future awards shows will bring?

At any rate, nominations or no, she's definitely dressing the part — she made major waves at the British Independent Film Awards in graphic Gucci, she wore the classiest, retro-gorgeous Alexander McQueen LBD at a recent New York red carpet, and she completely stunned in frothy Chanel couture at the world premiere of her latest film.

Suffice it to say, Ms. Mulligan is on a bona fide winning streak — and her most recent triumph? Well, she absolutely stunned at The War Child Winter Wassail (a fundraising event benefitting children affected by war). She pulled out all the stops, and looked holiday picture-perfect in a Dolce & Gabbana party dress, decorated with elegant metallic detailing — let's take a look!
