Amy Schumer's RBG Tee Is Everything

As if I needed another reason to love her besides the fact that we share a name, initials, and a true appreciation for super bawdy and irreverent humor. Funny girl Amy Schumer's feminist t-shirt is pretty much everything. The comedian and Golden Globe nominee, who will likely don something in a sexy and slinky shape at the prize-giving ceremony this winter, wore a white burnout tee that boasted an image of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

This shirt can and should be considered feminist fashion, since RBG's entire career has been marked by her tireless work to advance women's rights.

Forget tossing off that old "Girl Power!" phrase. It's about being "Girl Positive!" in 2015 and beyond.

I honestly expected Schumer to make a joke about this being a picture that focuses on her boobs. But she actually didn't go there with her caption. Instead, she let the shirt do all the talking and I love her for it.

The image features the inimitable justice wearing a crown and being christened "NOTORIOUS RBG" in homage to late rapper Biggie Smalls... as if I even needed to say that! You should know the reference.

Heavy is the head that wears the crown, but RBG —and Schumer, really!— work it.

Don't you totally want one of these tees? I sure do. While many online critics have questioned Schumer's "brand" of feminism after the release of Trainwreck, I feel like you can't argue with this fitted tee or these five examples of Schumer's feminism, thank you very much.

There are lots of feminist tees out there if you want to wear your politics on your sleeve, er, shirt.

Rosie the Riveter is a classic who will never, ever go out of style. She remains a source of inspo. ($29.95, feministapparel.com)

Puns are always fun, especially when they scream the truth. ($29.95, feminist apparel.com)

This V-neck tee is similar to the one Schumer is rocking. ($24.99, cafepress.com)

I think it's time to do a little shopping and add some feminist and female positive shirts to our wardrobes.
