Jennifer Lawrence Is A Menswear Pro In This Dress

by May Sofi

The ubiquitous little black dress is a classic staple that will likely never go out of style, but it can sure use a little upgrade from time to time, don't you think? Jennifer Lawrence wore a black tuxedo dress to the Joy premiere in London on Thursday, totally changing the LBD game forever. Who knew that a snazzy collar and a wrap-around design would transform the basic LBD from drab to fab?

The 25-year-old opted for a chic-meets-edgy look for the premiere of her new film — a slightly unorthodox look for such a swanky red carpet event. Her ensemble consisted of an all-black tuxedo dress with a drop-waist silhouette and a high-low hemline that was longer at the back than the front. The strapless bodice featured satin black lapels with edgy geometric trimmings. It was insanely elegant. She paired the LBD with studded point-toe pumps that featured a dainty strap around the ankle, adding a touch of rock & roll to the look.

The chicest part of the ensemble, though, was definitely the actress' hairstyle. Her platinum blonde was styled in a half-up half-down fashion with some loose pieces at the front. She flaunted a minimal makeup look comprised of rosy cheeks, nude lips, and some black liner.

Check out the stunning look.

I'm really digging this.
