Lance Bass Shares Super-Sweet Anniversary Posts

While I certainly sympathize for all of the One Direction fans coming to grips with the band's impending hiatus, nothing will give me as many feelings as when *NSYNC stopped making music. Back in middle school, I was a "Bye Bye Bye" fan through-and-through. I could't comprehend why anyone favored the Backstreet Boys instead. Although *NSYNC posters adorned my walls, I had a special place in my heart for Lance Bass. After all, the spikey-haired blonde was my first celebrity crush. Oh, the memories! Suffice to say, Bass and I obviously didn't wind up together (despite my 10-year-old self's dreams), but he did get a happily-ever-after romance. On Sunday, Bass and his husband Michael Turchin celebrated their first anniversary. Along with countless heart emojis, he shared the good news on Instagram:

Happy 1 year anniversary to the love of my life @michaelturchinart!!! I want to relive that night over and over again!

These two tied the knot last December in Los Angeles and became the first same-sex couple to get married on an American TV network. How awesome is that? Definitely a major milestone. Plus, his *NSYNC pals Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, and J.C. Chasez attended the wedding. (Sadly no Justin Timberlake, though.)

Here are Bass' heartwarming posts to his husband:

Such an adorable flip book. He posted a photo collage too.

Let's not forget this photo from their first dance.

Sweetest. Thing. Ever. In honor of this occasion, here's a round-up of vintage *NSYNC songs that these two should totally listen to. Because really, what better way to celebrate?

1. "This I Promise You"

This *NSYNC video in the woods is one of my favorites. The lyrics are super sweet too. "And I will take you in my arms / And hold you right where you belong / 'Til the day my life is through / This I promise you."

2. "Tearin' Up My Heart"

Unfortunately this version of the video doesn't have the best quality, but the catchy lyrics make up for it. "It's tearing' up my heart when I'm with you / But when we're apart I feel it too." Basically, this song can sum up how they can't stand to be apart.

3. "Music Of My Heart"

In this collaboration with Gloria Estefan, the guys sing about the power of love. "You've opened my eyes to something I've never known before / Your love is the music of my heart." Swoon!

4. "(God Must Have Spent) A Little More Time On You"

Try not to shed a tear as they sing, "When I look into your eyes, I know that it's true / God must have spent a little more time on you." This is like wedding vows set to music.

Congrats to the happy couple! Here's to many more anniversaries. And maybe they'll even renew their vows in a few years — that way JT can actually attend the ceremony.
