'Voice' Star Emily Ann Roberts Needs An Album

In a season filled with a crazy amount of talented singers, Emily Ann Roberts finished as The Voice Season 9 runner-up. Though Jordan Smith took home winner's trophy during last week's finale, country singer Roberts had already impressed audiences with her pipes. So, will The Voice 's Emily Ann Roberts have an album? It sounds like it. The Knoxville, Tennessee teen told Extra about her plans for her future album — and how she wants it to have a sound much like the Dixie Chicks. "They are that perfect mix of country and bluegrass and that’s exactly who I am," she said. "So I would definitely have tons of bluegrass influences but it will be a solid country album."

And, it also doesn't sound like the 17-year-old singer from Blake Shelton's team will be taking a beak anytime soon. "I want to start writing a lot and I want to put something together that is truly me and who I am," she told Extra. "I think that is what I’m most focused on right now. I want to take what I’ve learned here and go home and work on it even more and build on it."

While you await new music from Roberts, tide yourself over with her finest performances from The Voice Season 9.

1. "I Hope You Dance" By Lee Ann Womack

Roberts' rendition had Shelton declaring it was a "country song!" from the opening bars. No wonder he ended up becoming her coach!

2. "9 To 5" By Dolly Parton

It's almost eerie and impressive how Roberts can slip into Dolly Parton songs and just command them like Dolly herself. This energetic performance of the country classic propelled the singer into the finals.

3. "Islands In The Stream" By Dolly Parton and Kenny Loggins

Speaking of Parton, Roberts stepped into the country singer's role in this classic duet with coach Shelton from the show's finale.

4. "Burning House" By Cam

Roberts crooned this slower country tune for the finale, showing her softer side,

5. "Blame It On Your Heart" By Patty Loveless

Want a tongue twister? Try delivering this line from the chorus of this song as flawlessly as Roberts does: "Blame it on your lying, cheating, cold deadbeating, two-timing, double dealing, mean-mistreating, loving heart."

6. "She's Got You" By Patsy Cline

The teen takes on this heartbreaking 1960s classic country tune in a performance that left Shelton grinning and proud of his Top 10 singer in the competition.

Now bring on that album!
