Neil deGrasse Tyson Makes 'Star Wars' Even Better

by Michelle Lulic

When it comes to science fictions movies, there's one person you can always turn to in order to give you the science low-down: Neil deGrasse Tyson. The award-winning astrophysicist has taken to Twitter in recent years in order to give his input on popular science fiction films — such as last year's Interstellar. However, now he's blowing up Twitter in response to all of the commotion that is Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And — you guessed it — DeGrass Tyson's Star Wars reactions are absolutely hysterical.

If you're a Star Wars fan there's one thing you're not immune to: it's all fake. I know... It's heart-breaking to hear that spelled out so plainly. But, obviously, things such as the Force, Jedi Knights, and Wookiees are not real. However, even though George Lucas' famous tale may be able to hide behind the idea that it all happened "a long time ago in a land far, far away," that isn't stopping deGrasse Tyson from saying what he needs to say. You know, just in case someone needs some clarification. Or, in this case, just wants to hear a scientist's overall opinion about the franchise itself. Since, as you will see, most of his tweets happen to not really include a basis of facts or science at all.

So, here's the moment you've been waiting for. Neil deGrasse Tyson's very own Star Wars commentary.

He's Making Political Jokes

He's Pointing Out What We Don't Want To Admit

He's Giving Us The Real Science

He Let Out His Insecurities

He Points Out Important Things We Might Have Missed

He Finds The True Connections To The Old Movies

But, You Know, The Science Is Still Wrongs

No Matter What, Though, Star Wars Is Worth It

Thank you, Master. For those oh-so-wise words.
