Her Twins Actually Spoke on 'The View'

After completely freezing up in an interview with Today , the Gosselin twins are back on their media tour with their mother Kate Gosselin as if nothing ever happened. Next stop on Mama Gosselin's trek to pimp out her kids — I mean, promote her kids? The View , which welcomed Kate Gosselin, Mady, and Cara on the show today.

Sure, the interview wasn't nearly as bad as the one on Today, in which Mady and Cara both fell silent as they were asked by Savannah Guthrie how their family is doing after being out of the public eye, and their father going insane with Ed Hardy clothes before moving to the woods and taking a job waiting tables. No, in this one, Mady and Cara actually speak — even at one point both poking fun at their silence by initiating an intentional, dramatic one — but I still can't help but feel like it's all so wrong that the media is still even giving this family any attention. Gosselin has clearly been trying to hold on to what last shreds of fame she has for years now since Kate Plus Eight went off air, and she's literally just using her kids in order to get more attention. It seems wrong to just watch her do it.

Nonetheless, the two teens were chatty this time, explaining what sort of chores they do around the house (unloading the dishwasher, the usual), what music they like (One Direction and Demi Lovato, like every other teenage girl), and how they coped with their parents' divorce being so public in the tabloids: "Honestly, it wasn't hard for us...I think it was harder for you, definitely," Mady said, turning towards her mother. "It didn't really affect me and we still saw both parents… we were little, we were like 8 or 9."

"I kept them sheltered and yeah, it's necessary and it drew the nine of us closer," Gosselin added. Which, HA. She kept them sheltered. Yeah, OK.
