12 Amazing 'Bohemian Rhapsody' Covers

by Caitlyn Callegari

I distinctly remember, as a little kid, hearing "Bohemian Rhapsody" and thinking that whoever sung it must have been magic. How the heck could anyone sing like that, for that long, and remember all the words?! Well, I can safely say, at 24, I still feel the same damn way. As Entertainment Weekly relays, in honor of "Bohemian Rhapsody’s" 40th anniversary of slaying the human race, The English National Ballet, Trinity Boys Choir, and The Royal Academy of Music performed their own unique tributes. Let me just tell you, they are also positively magical.

Whether or not it’s through dance, string instruments, or young kids with impeccable talent, these tributes succeeded in capturing the impassioned, theatrical essence of the epic song. I should know, I had, ahem, “shivers down my spine” watching each and every one of them. That’s not just a line, either. The goosebumps were very real, people. But, I suppose I should have expected nothing less from meticulously executed tributes to a song that has proven its timelessness for four whole decades. Really, more than anything, these tributes show the versatility of the song and how it resonates in a multitude of ways.

You can check out the stunning "Bohemian Rhapsody" tributes below (if you like happiness and all that).

1. The English National Ballet Dancers

Gorgeous.

2. Trinity Boys Choir

How good?!

3. Royal Academy Of Music Quartet

Totally amazing.

But they are far from the only tributes out there. If you enjoyed those, here are other covers of "Bohemian Rhapsody" that give Queen and Freddie Mercury their due justice.

4. Glee

Jonathan Groff and his impeccable vocals coupled with the scene of Quinn giving birth was really next level.

5. Panic! At The Disco

All my emo kid dreams coming true right here.

6. The Ten Tenors

This deserves a round of applause.

7. Adam Lambert (With Queen!)

YASSS QUEEN (literally)!

8. Honorable Mention, Both Of Adam Lambert's American Idol Auditions

Like, how was it even possible, that Simon Cowell wasn't instantly impressed? Weirdo.

9. Alex Goot, Sam Tsui, KHS, Tyler Ward, Madilyn Bailey, Live Like Us

Wow.

10. Zac Brown Band

A respectable country twist. I dig it.

11. Tony Kakko

How lucky were those people in the audience, though?

12. The Muppets

The chickens clucking was a nice touch.

Here's to the next 40 years of this song carrying on.
