Super Easy Ways To Wash Your Keds

The search for the perfect shoe can be hard enough, and once you find your ideal pair, you've got to fight to keep 'em wearable. I'm convinced that Keds are the most versatile shoes out there, but they also seem to be the hardest to keep clean, especially if you're rocking white ones. Thankfully there are super simple ways to clean your Keds, so you can wear them all year 'round — for years to come. Because who says your canvas shoes need to go away just because it's cold out?

If you're anything like me, you love your shoes a bit harder than you should. I often find myself running around in my favorite pair of Keds no matter what the weather, which makes for a headache of a time trying to figure out how to clean my Keds. Keeping canvas shoes clean is actually easier than you might think, though. By using just a few products that you already have on-hand, you'll be on your way to shiny white sneakers in no time!

Odds are you already have things like vinegar and detergent in your house, so there's no excuse not to get to scrubbing. No one likes to wear dirty shoes, but with these super simple tutorials, you'll never have to worry about not having clean Keds again.

1. Baking Soda

Who knew baking soda and water were so powerful together?

2. Laundry Detergent

Just soak the shoes in a little bit of laundry detergent, scrub away the dirt, and you're good to go!

3. Baby Powder

I never thought to use baby powder to get my shoes to stay white, but this is an easy and safe way to clean them.

4. Vinegar

Scrub the shoe with a little vinegar before putting them in the wash and they will stay brighter for longer.

5. Magic Eraser

The secret to removing shoe stains could be hiding under your kitchen sink.

6. Bleach & Detergent

I hate using bleach, but by diluting it with detergent, it won't be as harsh to use.

7. Washing Machine

If all else fails, throw those bad boys in the washing machine and you have a hassle-free wash.
