Bar Refaeli's New Addition May Come This Summer

by Daniela Cabrera

It looks like 2016 is going to introduce many new celebrity babies! Between all the holiday engagements and celebrity pregnancy announcements popping up on my social media accounts, my internal clock is screaming at me more than ever — but that doesn't mean I can't also be happy for everyone else! Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli recently announced her pregnancy via Instagram, with a simple shot of a positive pregnancy test, and it seems like she is very ready and excited to enter this new phase in her life. But when exactly will that new phase kick off? When is Bar Refaeli due?

If I had to guess, I'd think this pregnancy announcement came soon after Refaeli and her husband, Adi Ezra, found out they were expecting, considering how eager Refaeli has been in the past to have children. Refaeli and Ezra have only been married for three months — after dating for three years — and before they were married, the model made it very clear that she was ready to start a family as soon as possible.

She told Israeli news outlet Israel Hayom,

I'm in a happy relationship, and we love each other very much. Everything fits and everything is just right. I won't speak for him, but the only thing stopping me from getting pregnant now is that it's so much fun with him that I don't want to change anything yet... I want more and more. Also, I've basically been ready to be a mother since I was 22. I've had names picked out in my head for kids for the last eight years.

Back in July, Refaeli also shared with Hello! Fashion Monthly that she wanted a big family, saying, “I think this will be a decade of family... I come from a family of four children ... A lot of [moms] could read this and think, ‘Yeah, try having one first.’ Hopefully, I’ll have a big family, but I’ll take it one by one."

A week prior to her pregnancy post, Refaeli uploaded a photo of her looking fresh-faced and beautiful, with the caption "Fading out." Was she already experiencing early pregnancy fatigue? Possibly.

That said, she could have taken her test long before and only posted it now because many women choose to follow "pregnancy etiquette" and wait until they are closer to their third trimester (or, three months pregnant) to share the news. This would place the 30-year-old closer to two and half months pregnant at the end of December.

Put all this together and Refaeli is likely due sometime this summer between July and early October. I have no doubt this is going to be one beautiful and very loved baby. Congrats to the couple!
