'PLL' Fans Let Down The Liars At The PCA's

Now that it's award season, it's time for Pretty Little Liars fans to rally for their favorite drama featuring some of the most beloved actors on the small screen. Despite the series and the cast not earning any Golden Globe nominations, three of the actors did get nominated for a People's Choice Award for Favorite Cable TV Actress. Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, and Shay Mitchell were all up for the award, alongside Younger's Hilary Duff and Rizzoli & Isles' Sasha Alexander. At Wednesday's PCA's it was announced that no one from Pretty Little Liars won for Favorite Cable TV Actress, because Sasha Alexander took home the award.

You're telling me neither Hale, Benson, or Mitchell won? I'm not going to lie, this surprises me. Not only were three of the five nominees from PLL, but they are extremely popular in the TV world. How does that happen? Clearly, the ginormous Liars fan base just didn't do enough voting. Well, I guess there is always next year for one of them to score a win.

That said, both Duff and Alexander are fantastic actors, who also clearly have a lot of fans, so by no means am I trying to diminish their work. It's just that PLL is so beloved, I really expected one of the stars to take home the PCA. But I guess there's always opportunity for surprise when it comes to awards show.

As for Alexander, she is pretty fantastic on the TNT series. After watching only a few episodes, it's clear why she is such a standout. With that, congrats to Alexander on her exciting win!
