Those "No More Parties In LA" Lyrics, Though

It's really an embarrassment of riches on Friday, as we've gained access not only to the new song "Real Friends", but also a snippet of the new Kanye West track "No More Parties In LA." What did we do to deserve all this, Kanye? Actually, don't answer that. I suspect it would turn into a whole thing, and I really don't have time to sit through a rant right now. Mostly because I'm playing these new songs on repeat, trying to get a feel for what the vibe of Swish will ultimately be. We have our best minds here at Bustle on the case, listening to "Real Friends" and trying to make a judgement call, but I've turned my sights elsewhere — to the minute-long clip we got of "No More Parties In LA", specifically the "No More Parties In LA" lyrics.

It's just a little sneak peek so far, but you do hear a little bit from Kanye himself, and then a pretty significant chunk of text from Kendrick Lamar, who's a guest artist on the track. It's not much, but it's something, so take a look at what we have so far, and see if you have any predictions as to what Kanye is singing about.

La di da di da, daI like this flavorLa di da di da, laLet me tell youI'm out here from a very far away placeAll for a chance to be a starNo where seems to be too farNo more parties in LAPlease baby no more parties in LA, uhNo more parties in LAPlease baby no more parties in LA, uhNo more (Los Angeles)Please (shake that body, party that body)Please (shake that body, party that body)Please (shake that body, party that body)

And then Kanye starts the verse with:

Hey baby you forgot your Ray BansAnd my sheets still orange from your spray tan

With Lamar taking over for the rest of the verse until the lyrics cut out:

It was more than soft porn for the cavemanShe remember my sprinter, said I was in the gray vanUm, well cutie, I like your boogie bootyCome Erykah Badu me, well let's make a movieHell you know my repertoire is like a wrestlerShow you the ropes, connect the dotsHey country girl in the front...

So far, it seems like each man is chronicling the beginning of a relationship, which could be an explanation for why there won't be any more parties in L.A.; there are, but Kanye and Kendrick Lamar would rather just stay at home in bed with their respective women, it seems like. For maybe a little bit of this.

But who knows! By the time the full song comes out, it could be a completely different story. Guess that means I'll see you next Friday, when Kanye will hopefully release the full version.
