Amy Schumer's GG Ensemble Is Far From Funny

Throughout 2015, Amy Schumer captured the hearts and minds of many a human with her witty yet poignant take on feminist and body positive issues. But Amy Schumer at the 2016 Golden Globes is something we've not necessarily seen before: Sartorial Queenliness at its finest. From her empowering sketches to her Pirelli Calendar shoot and accompanying tweet that shed light on what it means to be a woman in the contemporary world, Schumer is truly one of the most inspiring up-and-coming celebs of our day. And at the Jan. 10 awards, she's also a style star.

It seems almost uncomfortable to praise Schumer for her fashion choices on the red carpet when the 34-year-old comedian has so much more under her belt, including a nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical Or Comedy for her role in Trainwreck. But considering Schumer has been vocal about the many layers of womanhood and femininity every gal is in possession of, I don't think she'd mind.

Tonight, Schumer is wearing one of the most classic dresses we've seen on the carpet — a subdued black and white ball gown with a Bardot neckline that's giving me so many feels. I must admit, her stylistic choices are not often the first thing that come to mind when I think of the Inside Amy Schumer genius. But it's safe to say that the tides are changing.

Twitter didn't have all-praise, given the gown's minimalist nature (then again, when does Twitter actually have all-praise?). But while we'll all likely think of her wise words on makeup and nutritionists whenever we hear the name "Amy Schumer," I think from here on out, I'll personally also think fashionista.
