What Did You Think Of E! Red Carpet Glambot?

If there's one thing E! is known for, aside from occasionally awkward red carpet questions, it's attempting to let viewers experience coverage from every angle. From the overused mani-cam to the weird clutch-cam fiasco, there is no limit to what may be introduced during E! Live on the Red Carpet. And the red carpet for the 2016 Golden Globes proved to be no exception. Extending further from the usual "cam" tradition, E! introduced their newest featured called a Glambot. Now, if you're like me, you're probably wondering what exactly a Glambot is. Initially, E! described it as basically an 8-foot robotic arm that will be taking photos of the stars as the arrive on the red carpet throughout the evening. (Because, hey, why the heck not throw robots into the mix?) But upon seeing the results of said Glambot firsthand, there's a little more to it than that.

While it's true that yes, it does take very cinematically enhanced photos of our Hollywood stars, it also does it in a live-action sort of way by making each star appear to be moving in slow motion. And, for an even grander effect, apparently it'll also shower you with gold confetti, which is something E!'s very own Ryan Seacrest was kind enough to demonstrate.

Honestly, I've never been a fan of the most of things E! has introduced throughout the years at the Golden Globes, but this is certainly different and a step from those awful mani-cams. It gives fans a great chance to see the stars up close and personal in case they missed seeing them and provides a great opportunity for them to have some fun with it. (Like playing with confetti in slow motion, for instance.) I don't know where they come up with such things, but if the stars are having fun, then really, so are we.
