Khloé Opens Up About Rob's Journey To Get Healthy

While the holidays are primarily a time filled with celebration, the Kardashian family faced some scary news as 2015 came to a close. On Dec. 29, Rob Kardashian was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with diabetes. Instead of letting this put a damper on the new year, it sounds like the 28-year-old is viewing the incident as a serious sign to get healthy. Big sister Khloé Kardashian opened up about Rob's health on Good Morning America on Wednesday. "He's doing good," Khloé said. Further explaining, she added,

He got out [of the hospital] before the New Year, so I was like, "OK, let's leave all that stuff then. Listen, you found out what the problem is. Let's tackle it head on." Everything happens for a reason, so that health scare, if that's going to shake him up a little bit and jumpstart his health journey, great. I'm right here for him.

This is such a promising update. Especially since Khloé went on to say, "He's taking it seriously. We're only 13 days into the New Year, but that's good enough for me." That's the best attitude that Rob can possibly have — focusing on improving his health and taking it one day at a time. Instead of dwelling on the negatives, this approach of leaving the past in the past sounds far more productive. Plus, it's awesome to see his sister is there for support. (Then again, it's not surprising since Khloé and Rob have always been incredibly close.)

Not only is it great to hear that Rob's attitude has shifted for the better, but the same can be said for Khloé's. Only a few weeks ago, Khloé posted a "melancholy" selfie, seemingly related to his hospitalization. Instead of continuing to make sad faces, she seems far happier and more positive in her GMA interview. Perspective makes all the difference.

These latest comments from Khloé are the most significant update since Rob returned from the hospital and it really sounds like he's on the right track. It shows that he's making health his top priority and his family is right there by his side. Things can only keep getting better from here.
