But Really, Where Is 'Real Housewives Of Potomac'?

Here's a geography lesson for you: Where the hell is Potomac? The new setting for The Real Housewives of Potomac even has Bravo poking fun at the fact that no one actually knows where the show is taking place. In promos for the series, one of the new Housewives says that if we (the all-being audience) doesn't know where Potomac is, then they (the residents of the town?) have done a good job at keeping it a secret. Cute. But, that still doesn't answer where Potomac is and why it's a good spot for Real Housewives to expand its reach to. I trust Bravo, but I'm not sure I'm following this decision.

Well, that was until I did a quick Google search. Then I realized, quite quickly in fact, why Potomac is getting its own franchise. Potomac, which is in Maryland by the way, is where the money is at. And, let's be honest, that's why the Real Housewives franchise was created in the first place — so we can watch people spend money in a way we only dreamed of.

So, what do you need to know about Potomac before falling into the center of wealth and ritz?

They're Very, Very Wealthy

This city isn't about famous people trying to reignite their TV/film careers — this is simply about wealth. Potomac has been on many lists for "Richest Cities In The Nation" for years. In 2011, Bloomberg placed Potomac on its own list, stating that the suburb's average household income is $242,441.

They're Really Smart

Potomac residents have earned their high incomes. In 2014, Forbes named Potomac among the top educated cities in America stating that it is a city for "lawyers, doctors, scientists and executives who work in D.C. Only 2.5 percent of the population didn't finish high school and 78.6 percent has a bachelor's or graduate degree."
