Zoolander On The 'Vogue' Cover Is Everything

by May Sofi

The staggering hype for the most anticipated movie of the year just keeps on building. Ben Stiller, A.K.A. Derek Zoolander, covers Vogue 's February issue, sending the fashion world into a frenzy yet again. Remember his Paris Fashion Week debut on the Valentino runway last year? Of course you do , because it was just that epic. The on-screen supermodel is clearly getting good at infiltrating the fashion industry IRL, and now he has officially landed on the pages of the holy grail fashion bible.

The really really ridiculously good-looking star poses alongside Penélope Cruz, the film's sexy leading lady, but here's the part you really don't want to miss — he's rocking a high-fashion version of his famed "Blue Steel" face. Striking a fierce pose, Stiller reprises his character to a T, dressed in an eccentric printed blazer while sporting his signature boy band-esque spiked tresses. That Derek's so hot right now.

The fashion-forward glossy is no stranger to groundbreaking covers, and it has proven it time and time again. The creative masterminds at Vogue have a keen eye for conceptualizing covers that will get people talking. Remember what a huge deal it was when Kimye graced the cover? People went wild, but not as wild as I think they'll be going over this latest Zoolander shot.

This is everything.

Let's take a look at some other Vogue covers that broke the mold and got people buzzing, shall we?

1. Kim Kardashian & Kanye West

This was all the fashion world could talk about in 2014.

2. Taylor Swift & Karlie Kloss

2015 was the year of Taylor Swift's girl squad, which Vogue clearly capitalized on by featuring the pop star on the cover with her supermodel BFF.

3. Lena Dunham

Even though Dunham's first-ever Vogue cover sparked some controversy, it was still a big deal for the quirky comedic actress to cover a magazine notorious for featuring mostly models.

4. Irina Shayk & Cristiano Ronaldo

This 2014 cover of soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo and his then supermodel girlfriend is a lot more risqué than Vogue usually opts for, so it obviously had people talking.

5. Serena Williams

I love the raw and real nature of this Vogue shoot. Williams sports very minimal makeup, rocks her natural hair, and puts it all out there with confidence, clearly breaking the typical Vogue mold.

6. Michelle Obama

First Ladies don't typically grace the covers of fashion magazines, and that's exactly why this cover is mold-breaking.
