This Bridal Collection Is Machine Washable

by Katharine McEntee

Infiltrating the wedding scene for quite some time now has been non-traditional bridal wear. Jumpsuits, pant suits, and even shorts (Olivia Palermo, I’m looking at you) are becoming common alternatives to the traditional pouf that our mothers once wore. While these silhouettes may seem daring to some, Nashville, Tennessee-based designer Elizabeth Suzann is further challenging the status quo with her machine washable bridal collection.

Suzann's recently launched White Collection is a bridal wear line comprised of shirts, skirts, pants, and jumpsuits in luxe fabrics and breezy silhouettes. At first glance, the collection looks like an all-white resort wear line rather than a bridal wear one, but that happens to be the beauty of it. The versatile pieces and easy nature of the garments are appropriate for both the aisle and everyday wear. It's a modern day bride’s dream come true.

In a recent interview with Refinery 29, Suzann explained her inspiration behind The White Collection. “The White Collection was born from our dissatisfaction with the feeling of excess, overstimulation, and clutter,” she told the publication. Suzann’s practical take on bridal wear is apparent in her new line, as all but one outfit is machine washable, the aesthetic is minimalistic, and the prices range from $350 to $1,350, a somewhat reasonable cost in comparison to other designer bridal collections.

While the classic wedding gown will likely always exist, Suzann's practical take on bridal wear is refreshing, to say the least. So whether you are recently engaged or are just looking for an all-white outfit, scroll down to see some of my favorite pieces from The White Collection.
