9 Weird Winter Fashion Items You Definitely Need

by Lindsey Rose Black

Blizzard Jonas just proved winter is still in full swing, and you need to gear up to dress appropriately if you haven't already. If you're looking to add some unconventional spunk to your 2016 winter wardrobe, you won't want to miss these mildly ridiculous but epically amazing weird winter fashion items you didn't know you needed. Adding these to your closet will ensure you stay extra warm while also making people giggle and smile. What's better than that?

I'll be the first to admit that I totally wasn't prepared for the nearly three feet of snow that hit Manhattan on Saturday. It's been unseasonably warm here, so I've totally been putting off stocking up on warm winter socks and cute pairs of snow boots. I quickly realized the error of my ways when my fella friend and I went to walk their dog on Saturday morning and stepped out into hardcore blizzard conditions with swirly winds and zero sidewalk visibility. Eeek.

Now that the snow has quelled a bit, this week is dedicated to stocking up on proper winter clothing! Below are some of the funniest, quirkiest, winter fashion items I am definitely contemplating splurging on.
