The Best Leggings For Short Girls

by Sienna Fantozzi

Most short girls can agree that buying jeans is problematic, but there's no struggle as real as finding leggings that fit. I mean, you aren't about to go hem your leggings like you would jeans, and maybe you just don't want a cropped capri. But don't worry, because I've rounded up the best leggings for short girls, so hopefully your order and return days are officially over.

I'm 5'3", so for me, buying leggings generally means two lengths: cropped or extremely bunched up. Obviously, having all that extra fabric gathering at your ankle isn't cute, but cropped isn't always a good option, either. I mean, it's great for like, working out or something, but for every day, I want my leggings to hit at a normal length. I don't routinely like to spend a lot on leggings, so taking an inexpensive pair to get hemmed and paying more than what they retailed for to get it done kind of sucks. Clearly, buying leggings can be way more of a hassle than it should be.

The good news? There are pairs out there that'll work without a hem or having to roll them up. I've gathered some options for the best leggings for short girls to shop that'll help alleviate all that hassle.

1. Peggy Moffitt

Cuttable Pants, $79, P eggy Moffitt

See that mesh part on the ankle? You can cut them there so you can find the perfect length for you. Now if we could just get jeans like this...

2. Zella

Zella Leggings, $52, N ordstrom

These are my go-to leggings. They're the perfect length, and they are reversible. One side is more comfy for lounging, while the other is spandexy for working out. Two-in-one!

3. J.Crew

J Crew Signature Leggings, $35, J Crew

J.Crew's petite section is made for girls under 5'4", so order without worry.

4. Vince

Vince Leggings, $195, N ordstrom

OK, so these are definitely pricey for leggings, but sometimes it is worth it to spend a little more, because this pair fits me perfectly without any need for a hem, and they are super durable, so they'll last you a long time.

5. Style & Co.

Style & Co. Leggings, $19, Macys

Sold Out - See similar: Mopas Ankle Length Legging, $8, Amazon

This pair is made for petites, but it specifies it's ankle-length, so no worries about fitting like a capri.

6. Topshop

Wet Look Leggings, $35, Topshop

Topshop petites is the best thing to happen to fashion in a while.

7. ASOS

ASOS Petite Leggings, $38, Asos

ASOS has an amazing petites selection, and this pair is super skinny, so even if it is still a little too long for you, it won't look slouchy.
