Will Jess Be In The 'Gilmore Girls' Revival?

by Kristie Rohwedder

Friday, Netflix shared shared some extremely big, extremely good news. Said news warrants a toast. Oh, but leave the champagne corked. Don’t bother with wine. Put the shot glasses and tequila back in the cupboard. For this particular toast, we will need a pot of Luke’s finest coffee and some ceramic mugs. According to Deadline, six of the original Gilmore Girls cast members have signed on to be in the reboot of Amy Sherman-Palladino’s beloved series. Sean Gunn (Kirk), Keiko Agena (Lane), Scott Patterson (Luke), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Lauren Graham (Lorelai), and Alexis Bledel (Rory) are all set to appear in the revival of the show. All of this is exciting, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious about whether or not Luke's leather jacket-wearing nephew will be back. What about Jess?!?!?! Will Rory and Jess ‘ship float across the small screen once again, or has that ‘ship sailed away for good? Will Milo Ventimiglia be in any of these GG movies, or no?

Ventimiglia’s involvement has yet to be addressed, but! The actor did tweet a Very Important GG Tweet. Tuesday, Ventimiglia responded to a fan’s tweet-assumption that he was on the GG reboot set. And while his response neither explicitly confirms nor denies that he will be reprising his GG role, it may instill hope in Rory/Jess fans:

Not yet. Not yet. NOT YET. What does it meeeeean?!?!?! HNNNNNGH.

Bustle has reached out to Netflix for comment regarding if/when they will be announcing the rest of the cast, but have not yet heard back.
