The Best Looks From The Oscars Luncheon Red Carpet

by Marc Cuenco

With only three weeks away until Hollywood's biggest night rolls out the red carpet, this year's batch of nominees including Jennifer Lawrence and Lady Gaga attended the 2016 Oscar Nominees Luncheon in Beverly Hills. With the exception of Gaga, fresh from her appearance yesterday to sing the National Anthem at Super Bowl 50, most of the attendees wore chic daytime couture, which ranged from J. Law's all-black pantsuit, to Brie Larson's pink co-ords, to Alicia Vikander's delightful cocktail dress.

Four-time nominee and 2012 Best Actress winner Lawrence channeled '90s style in a belted power suit by Stella McCartney. On the other side of the style spectrum, Lady Gaga went for a more classic Hollywood silhouette in a body-con Christian Siriano gown. Just hours before, the singer donned a custom Gucci suit and mismatched platform shoes at the Super Bowl. Spring was also in the air when it came to Best Supporting Actress nominees Vikander in an orange Louis Vuitton dress, Rachel McAdams in a romantic peach mini, and Rooney Mara wearing a white ensemble with long sleeves and floral details. Taking the most fashion risk at the event is the favorite to win the Best Actress trophy this year: Larson in a pink Emilia Wickstead top and skirt.

Let's take a look at the best dressed stars at the 2016 Oscar Nominees Luncheon:

This suit is every bit as badass as Lawrence.

Meanwhile, Gaga traded her sparkly red Gucci suit from the Super Bowl for this sleek, nude Christian Siriano number.

Larson definitely had the most unexpected look at the luncheon.

The Oscar-nominated actor looked ready for spring in this pink mod dress.

Rooney Mara

Only Mara can pull off looking ladylike and edgy at the same time.

Alicia Vikander

Her style is so effortless and fresh.

Leonardo DiCaprio

Mr. DiCaprio is saving the black tie for the Oscars, but he still looks dapper in this gray suit.

Eddie Redmayne

The purple tie gave a nice pop of color to the actor's look, made even more adorable by his wife Hannah Bagshawe by his side. These nominees in their luncheon looks are certainly making me even more excited to see them at the red carpet on Oscar night.
