Kelly Clarkson Has A New Children's Book!

On Super Bowl Sunday, the ever-fabulous Kelly Clarkson debuted a homemade commercial starring her 1-year-old daughter, River Rose, on Instagram. The video was the third clue regarding the singer's top-secret upcoming project. Two days later, she announced it to the world: Kelly Clarkson's children's book, River Rose and the Magical Lullaby, is coming out in October.

River Rose and the Magical Lullaby centers on a little girl who can't sleep, thanks to the excitement of her upcoming trip to the zoo. A sweet bedtime song from her mother gives her an adventurous dream, in which she "hopscotch[es] with the hippos, slip-slid[es] with the penguins, and danc[es] with the big brown bears," according to the press release. The picture book comes with an original recording of the lullaby, sung by Clarkson herself, obv.

Clarkson and husband Brandon Blackstock are currently expecting their second child, a boy. Blackstock has two children from a previous marriage, and he and Clarkson welcomed River Rose in June 2014. As of this writing, it's unclear whether Clarkson intends to turn her son into a picture-book character, but I'll be happy to see a second children's book from the Grammy winner on store shelves.

HarperCollins Children's Books will publish River Rose and the Magical Lullaby on October 4. You can preorder the book from your favorite retailer today.
