Taylor Swift's 2016 Grammys Performance Nailed It

by Anna Klassen

Taylor Swift took home a 2016 Grammy Award before the show even started. The "Out Of The Woods" singer scored a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for her ultra catchy 1989. And it surely isn't the last award the blonde songstress will win during Monday night's show. But she didn't come to the show just to take home golden statues. Taylor Swift performed at the 58th annual Grammy Awards in stellar form. In a highly-anticipated and assuredly show-stopping performance, Taylor Swift took the stage to open the 58th annual Grammy Awards on Monday night, singing "Out of the Woods." Swift is one of the year's most celebrated artists at the 2016 show, with a whopping seven nominations (including her post-show win), including big hitters like — Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year.

During her performance, she appeared out of a cloud of smoke, wearing a sparkly dark blue onsie and donning a bobbed haircut. She sang her heart out, with help from guitarist Jack Antonoff, and danced around a set built with fake trees and general forest shrubbery. After welcoming the audience to the Grammys she walked into the crowd and continued to croon along to the popular track. She absolutely nailed the track, reminding audiences that dang — this girl can sing. Not only were her pipes in top form, but her outfit — complete with skin-revealing side-slit, was also on point.

The song she performed on the 2016 Grammys stage came off of her latest album, 1989, which boasts a bevy of chart-topping hits like "Shake It Off," "Blank Space," "Wildest Dreams."
