Every Rumor About Bey's Next Album

by Maura O'Malley

So, technically, the mere possibility of the new Beyoncé album continues to be speculative. B and her team have yet to comment one way or another, kind of like how the government talks about Area 51. We all know something is afoot, but nobody in charge is saying anything. But, as any true Beyoncé fan knows, the writing is on the wall. Let's all be honest here — an official announcement would just be a formality at this point, because we all know a new Beyoncé album is coming. I mean, she released "Formation"! More music has got to be on the way soon. And, because I am a card-toting member of the Bey Hive army, I have scoured the Internet chasing down leads and refreshing my Twitter timeline to find out the latest Beyoncé album rumors. As it turns out, we do know a fair amount.

First things first, the album will be released sometime in the near future. Queen B has a proven track record of releasing new solo albums every two to three years, and ding-ding-ding — the Beyoncé album came out in December 2013. Also, the Beyoncé album was paired with a wildly successful world tour and a show-stopping Super Bowl half time performance. Sound familiar? This time around, we've already got the Super Bowl performance and the world tour, so all we are missing is the new album in this triad of Beyoncé awesomeness.

Here's everything that's been rumored about the new Beyoncé album:

How Soon Is Soon?

So while the impending release of the album is acknowledged as fact, how soon the actual album will be released is pure speculation. Some think the album could drop any moment, others think Kanye West and Rihanna's exclusive TIDAL releases have delayed Beyoncé's album release until March. But worry not — the BeyHive Team is confirming that the album will be released before Beyoncé's World Tour begins in April. So, worse case scenario, you will be stuck listening to "Formation" on repeat till April — and that's doesn't sound too bad to me!

The "Formation" Video Is Just The Beginning

According to the New York Daily News, Ethan Tubman, who helped film the the top-secret Beyoncé music video, has hinted that the timing of things will start to become clear in the coming weeks. He also added that Beyoncé's team is "very good at keeping secrets." I don't know what exactly this means, but it would appear that something big is on the near horizon.

It Will Probably Be A TIDAL Exclusive

As with the single "Formation," all signs are pointing to Beyoncé's next album being released exclusively through her husband Jay Z's streaming service TIDAL.

Collaborators On Fleek

A lot of artists have been posting Instagram photos hinting at their involvement on the new Beyoncé album. "Cha Cha" artist D.R.A.M. posted an in-studio Instagram photo with Beyoncé back in July, and Cara Delevingne and Beyoncé posted matching photos hinting at their collaboration. Also, Sia, Bone Thugs N' Harmony, Mike Will-Made it, and Future have all confirmed work on Beyoncé's sixth album. So, while not a lot is known about how this next Beyoncé album will sound, we at least know it has an all-star team behind it.

The King And Queen Of Everything

Beyoncé's first solo song in 2003 was a collaboration with her now husband Jay Z. Flash-forward to February 2015, and music producer Detail told Billboard, "Beyoncé and Jay Z are actually doing something together this year." If this is true, that something would be this new Beyoncé album and this is sweet, sweet music to my ears.

The Album's Delay Is All Adele's Fault

Rumor has it that Beyoncé delayed the released of her album so as not to clash with Adele's 25 album release. I really hope this isn't true — I am totally capable of loving Beyoncé and Adele at the same time. Just release your album already, Beyoncé!

It Is Going To Be Beyond Amazing

We all know the new Beyoncé album will be killer, but if you wanted some additional assurances — according to The Grio, Beyoncé's personal stylist and inventor of the Ty-Lite phone case, Ty Hunter, has heard the entire album and he loves it.

So there you have it. Now we just have to wait to see what comes true — because this is Beyoncé's world and we are all just living in it.
