Whether you know her from her incredibly unique sense of style, her Disney Channel origins, or her overall off-the-wall antics, Miley Cyrus on the 2016 Grammys red carpet is something a lot of us were probably looking forward to, but unfortunately it didn't happen this year. While we're all still reeling from Cyrus hosting the 2015 MTV VMAs in all their weird, rainbow-covered glory, it's hard to imagine that anything can top Miley's dozens of looks from that evening. But the truth is that every red carpet (especially that of the Grammys) is an opportunity for something just a little crazier for the singer. Having said that, it's disappointing that Cyrus didn't grace us with her presence this year.
While Cyrus didn't post anything specifically about why she wasn't attending the awards or if she would be attending it in the first place, she did post an Instagram on the same day of the show that proved she may have had other plans for the day of. Or, hey, she could have been multitasking and getting ready for the show and looking for her favorite shirt — but so far, it doesn't look like she's showing up at the 2016 awards.
But, hey, if you've seen her shirt — help a girl out.
Cyrus also posted this snap the same day as the Grammys.
And, of course, Miley celebrated Valentine's Day in her own very Miley way.
I guess there's always next year, right?
