You'd think that Oliver would know by now that secrets have a way of catching up with you. But alas, the biggest skeleton in his deep, dark closet is on the verge of bubbling to the surface and it does not bode well for his future with Felicity. But Oliver's now got bigger problems to worry about than just his love life. Damien Darhk has now kidnapped Oliver's son, William on Arrow , which is pretty much the worst thing that could've happened. Not that we should be all that surprised, of course. As soon as Malcolm made Darhk aware of William's existence, I knew something like this was bound to happen. It's the perfect leverage anyone would need in order to control Oliver, so the only question that remains is — what will happen to William now that he's within Darhk's grasp?
As a human being, I would like to think that not even Darhk could go so far as to harm a child, especially considering that he has one of his own. However, I think this Arrow Big Bad has proven by now that there isn't anything he wouldn't do to get what he wants. He may be placing the nice guy routine with William right now, but when push comes to shove, he'd definitely threaten the kid's life in order to make Oliver obey. Heck, for all we know, the mystery grave in the flash forward belongs to William. It's a terrible possibility to consider, but not one that's completely out of the question.
But regardless of the outcome, this could also signal the demise of something else that's both near and dear to our hearts — Oliver and Felicity's relationship. The promo for next week's episode shows Darhk informing Oliver of William's kidnapping right in front of Felicity. So naturally, she asks the obvious question: "Who is William?," which forces Oliver to finally come clean. I think we can all agree that he should've told her about his son a long time ago, so the fact that she's finding out this way is not going to be an easy pill to swallow.
Either way, the fact that Darhk is bringing innocent children into the picture proves that he's crossed a line, which is sure to push Oliver to his breaking point. Let's just hope that the right man comes out on top.
