Time Warner Cable Suffers Outage, Still Airs Ad

by Meredith Lepore

Time Warner Cable's Super Bowl ad was difficult to process. First of all, P. Diddy played a Willy Wonka-type host to True Blood's Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Bill (Stephen Moyer) as they walked through the amazing Time Warner Cable factory where Anne Burrell of The Food Network hangs out, as well as the cast of Showtime's Ray Donovan. Oh, and Drake was there too.

This has been the formula for Time Warner Cable's advertisements for some time. The company features TV favorites, who interact with regular people. (Who can forget the Homeland one, or that kind of disturbing New Girl one with Zooey Deschanel?) And, guess what? TV fans eat it up, so the formula equals success for the cable company.

That said, Time Warner Cable wasn't completely successful this Super Bowl. After all, some Time Warner Cable customers in Los Angeles were unable to watch the year's most-watched football game, as well as the halftime show with Bruno Mars and Red Hot Chili Peppers, due to "an issue" with the local Fox feed.

But they didn't miss Time Warner's Super Bowl ad! Did you? If so, watch it below!
