10 Obscure Quotes From Harry Potter

by Charlotte Ahlin

There comes a time in every reader's life where you feel like you've heard every Harry Potter quote in existence. I mean, yes, we've all read the books. And we've all re-read the books. And we're all pretty sure that we remember the big important quotes from the books. At least, we can smell a Dumbledore quote a mile off. Like, “It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities,” or “If you want to know what a man’s like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals,” or even, “Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?” These are the classic Potter quotes that turn up on Etsy jewelry and high quality gif sets. And there's a reason people love the popular Harry Potter quotes so much: they're great!

But there are a lot of words in those Harry Potter books. What about all the quotes that don't get quoted quite so often? What about all the quotes that don't even really sound like they're from Harry Potter? Like... at all? Well, if you're looking to impress your friends with obscure Harry Potter quote knowledge, look no further. These quotes could use a little extra love, because they don't necessarily sound like quotes you'd find in Harry Potter:
