Books Paired With Tea Is The Trend Of The Moment

by Emma Oulton

C.S. Lewis once said, “You can’t get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me,” — and seriously, that might have been the most real thing he ever said. Getting lost in a wonderful novel or a steaming mug of tea is pretty much the closest thing we have to Heaven — and now a bunch of cute companies are letting you do both those things at once.

There's Novel Teas: tea bags with literary quotes printed on the tags. The quotes come from authors such as C.S. Lewis, Rita Mae Brown, and Alice Hoffman, and add a dash of literary wit to your morning routine. Each box, which can be yours for $15, contains 25 English Breakfast tea bags — so you can be safe in the knowledge you’ve got over three weeks worth of morning reading. (Just kidding, who only drinks one cup of tea a day?! Nobody, that’s who. These tea bags will last you until lunchtime on the first day.)

But if you want somewhere cute to store your teabags in the meantime, look no further. NovelTea Tins (funnily enough, made by a different company) are designed to look like classic books — but when you open them up, they're filled with creatively blended teas that are actually designed to smell like old books. (The War and Peace tin, for example, is filled with "War and Peach" tea — which is so adorable I might just cry.)

Unsurprisingly, book-lovers have been going mad for all these products. Any excuse to add some reading time into the day is good with me! Especially when it comes with a punny title like Novel Teas...
