These Easy DIY Coasters Are Perfect For Spring

The spring season is finally on its way. And in preparation for all the porch parties I know you're craving, I've whipped up these DIY painted coasters just for you. This tutorial features a charming daisy print, making sure those springtime vibes are well within reach. The best part is that you can still use them during the summer, too.

Don't worry — you don't have to be a professional artist to pull these off. This tutorial demonstrates a simple technique that is beginner friendly and easy to do. The key is to not think too hard about it. Because the pattern is meant to look artsy and offbeat, this project is extremely forgiving.

To top it off, these DIY coasters are super budget friendly. Even if you were to buy all of the materials at once, it is likely that you won't spend more than $8. It also doubles as an inexpensive spring break staycation idea to send off the winter blues. Personally, crafting is my favorite way to unwind and relax.

For a more colorful version, opt for different color paints instead of white. You can even add other elements like polka dots or triangles. Let's get started!

Supplies:

- Plain cork coasters- Yellow and white acrylic paint- Thin paint brush

Not sure where to find cork coasters? Check out your local craft store. You might even be able to find them in the kitchen section of a grocery store. They're usually available in circle or square shapes. Either one works!

1. Using the paint brush, randomly add yellow dots to the cork coasters. Don't focus too much on a specific pattern or placement. The more sporadic, the better.

2. Give the brush a quick wash and pat a paper towel. Add five short white brush strokes around each yellow dot. Again, don't worry if these aren't perfect. These are meant to look artsy, fun, and relaxed.

3. Repeat until each cork is covered in pretty little daisies. Set aside to dry completely.

And that's it! I wasn't lying when I said this was easy. These babies are excellent for fueling those spring vibes on your table or work desk. Plus, you now have a perfect excuse to invite your lady friends over for a spring-friendly brunch.
