The Latest On Ariana Grande's New Music

by Alex Kritselis

Big things are on the horizon, Arianators: Ariana Grande is hosting Saturday Night Live on March 12. Exciting! But she's not just hosting the upcoming show — she's serving as the musical guest, too. Double exciting! The 22-year-old singer made the announcement via a voice memo posted to her DangerousWoman.com website on Thursday afternoon. She said the site, which was launched earlier this week, will be used to keep her fans updated on her new album — the album formerly known as Moonlight. Yes, the "Problem" hit-maker officially confirmed that she's changed the title of her forthcoming project from Moonlight to Dangerous Woman. So, when is Ariana Grande releasing new music? Her holiday EP, Christmas & Chill, was a nice distraction, but pop music lovers are anxious to hear her next single.

Luckily for us, Grande revealed that she's performing two new songs on SNL: "Dangerous Woman" and "Be Alright." At this point, not much is known about the title track from her third studio album, but we've actually already heard bits and pieces of "Be Alright." In fact, Grande first previewed the song on Snapchat all the way back in June 2015! Based on the snippets, "Be Alright" sounds like an up-tempo R&B tune with retro house influences — quite different from the LP's lead offering, "Focus."

So, we'll hear "Dangerous Woman" and "Be Alright" on Sat., March 12 — a little over two weeks from today. But is it possible Grande will release the songs before that? Definitely. Artists don't often debut new material on SNL, so she might put the tracks on iTunes and Spotify before she performs them live for the first time.

Fortunately, Grande is great at communicating with her fans, so we should know her plans soon. Be sure to keep an eye on her social media accounts in the coming days for more info on Dangerous Woman.
