Amy Poehler’s 2016 Oscars Dress Is Bold & Gorgeous

This funny lady can officially add "style star" to her long list of accomplishments. Amy Poehler looks incredible at the 2016 Oscars, which really comes as no surprise considering that she pretty much always looks incredible. However, this just might be her finest moment. Her style is typically a bit more classic and less quirky than I normally go for, but I love how she really lets her vivacious personality shine through and doesn't wear pieces that overshadow her. Poehler is attention grabbing all on her own — she doesn't need a loud outfit to get people to pay attention.

But tonight she chose to go a bit bold! Poehler is rocking a lovely black dress with colorful embroidered flowers and butterflies. She paired the memorable look with her stunning red locks and a large ring, keeping her makeup simple with a soft smoky eye and glossy nude lip. The best part of this ensemble has got to be the silhouette. While the dress is super covered up, it features some dramatic sleeves that flare out at the elbow for a cape-like effect. This is such an awesome look on Poehler, who frequently keeps things pretty tame and structured for major events.

How great does she look? Such a smart choice, especially with the red hair.
