How To Wear Kylie's Orange Lip Kit Color

by Sienna Fantozzi

In case you got caught up in all the Oscars hype and forgot, Kylie Jenner's orange Lip Kit color drops Monday, Feb. 29., and if you're one of the lucky few to get your hands on it before it inevitably sells out, then you're going to be totally stoked. Until you remember that it's orange, and that might be a color you aren't necessarily used to wearing on the regs. If you're slightly unsure of just how to pull this bold color off, no worries, because luckily, we've gotten plenty of inspiration from the creator herself. Bring it on, orange.

Fans lost all their chill when Jenner teased the new color two weeks ago, and I'll hand it to her — she did not make us wait long for it. It's definitely an unusual choice because I mean, let's be real, it's orange, but also because it's not necessarily a color you'd associate with spring. It feels a little more appropriate for fall, but when does Kylie ever do anything by the book? Breaking the rules is way more fun, after all.

Because it's so out of the box (and maybe out of your comfort zone), you may be hesitant, but once you see how to wear it, you'll be instantly obsessed.

So it's definitely bold, but it's not like, pumpkin orange, so you totally got this.

It's not actually that "orange" when it's on, and actually looks a bit more coral. To make it totally pop, as well as feel more spring-ish, wear it with all white and keep your makeup bronzed and golden (fake your tan until you make it!) like Kylie's friend Jordyn Woods.

But if you don't care too much about being seasonally appropriate, the color looks so rich with all black.

It's a great alternative to classic red, which can definitely be more glam and feel a little more "done."

The orange is casual, but still bold enough to feel like you have color on your lips, unlike a neutral nude:

You can dress it up or dress it down, and make it feminine or edgy, so really, it's way more versatile than you might have thought.
