This Is The Only Foundation Hack You Need

by Kali Borovic

When you're running late in the morning, the last thing you need is for your makeup to look sloppy. Using what you already have in your makeup bag, you can trick people into thinking you had a hassle-free start to your day with this fast morning foundation hack. Not only will you get a smoother and faster application, but your foundation will also be longer lasting. Thanks to a little trick, you'll never have to rush through the rest of your makeup because you spent too much time on your face again!

If you've got moisturizer, a setting powder, and foundation, you already have everything you need to do this. According to Wayne Gross, a makeup artist and YouTuber, it's not really about what products you use, but the order that you put them on that really matters. With his tip, you'll be able to save time in the morning, as well as get some longer-lasting makeup all at the same time.

So, how do you get super flawless foundation on the quick? Goss recommends putting on moisturizer, setting powder, and then foundation to get the best application. I know — it sounds crazy, right? Why would you want to set your moisturizer instead of your makeup? The answer is in the science.

Water and oil don't mix well, and neither do silicone and water. So, according to Goss, when you put that extra layer in between the two products (especially if they don't have the same base ingredient), you're getting smoother face makeup application. It makes complete sense!

Not only is it the key to smoother-looking skin, but it saves you time, too. Because you don't have to wait for the moisturizer to dry before you put on the setting powder, you're saving at least five minutes. You can also instantly put on the foundation as well. Goss also says your blush or bronzer can also be immediately applied, since the foundation will dry into the setting powder in seconds.

How great does his skin look? With Goss's little hack, you'll be on your way to quick and easy morning makeup.
