Ryan Reynolds Finally Opens Up About Blake Lively

by Lindsay Mannering

Ryan Reynolds doesn't want to talk about his personal life, unless he's talking about how he doesn't like talking about his personal life while simultaneously talking about his personal life. The 36-year-old actor is Details magazine's August cover boy and actually gave us a peek behind his curtain, if then to only remind us that we shouldn't be looking in the first place.

But he's not trying to be cagey about his private time or his marriage to Blake Lively. In theory, it actually sounds like he has no problem letting the world in, it's just, it's just ...

He says:

“I don’t intentionally try to be evasive about that stuff. If you ask me to describe my relationship, I mean—words are too clumsy to accurately describe how I feel in that regard, particularly in an interview. It’s a strange thing.”

And you know what? That's very understandable. If you were to ask us to describe our love for kimchi tacos, we'd be at a lost for words, as well. It is, in fact, very difficult to express such deep, undying and inextricably intense emotion.

But when it comes to talking about his future plans with Blake, that blueprint, on the other hand, is open season. Quantifying his prospective children is no problem compared to articulating his feelings.

He went on to share:

“We’d love to have a big family. We both come from big families—my parents did four, Blake’s did five. A lot of people say it’s crazy, but we’ll only know when we’re there, you know? We’ll walk through that fire pretty happily, I think.”

Oh Ryan, you're such a tease. Now give us a wedding photo so we can stop asking for it already, OK? Because as soon as you start popping out those pretty, happy, fiery babies, or whatever you're calling them, we're gonna need some pics.

If you're cool with that, of course.
