The Next Bachelorette Is One Of 4 Women...

by Lia Beck

There comes a certain point during a season of The Bachelor/ette where you stop focusing so much on who's going to win and start focusing some of your wine-drunk gossipy energy on who will star on the next season. Sure, I want to see who the hell Ben Higgins is calling during the final rose ceremony (seriously, who is it?! JK. No spoilers.), but I also really, really want to know who the next Bachelorette will be. Well, according to Us Weekly sources, the choice as been narrowed down to the final four contestants: Amanda Stanton, JoJo Fletcher, Lauren Bushnell, and Caila Quinn. So, who is it?!

First of all, this really only means that Amanda, JoJo, and Caila are options, because I think we all know at this point that Lauren is going to win. She just has to, right? I mean, her chemistry with Ben is undeniable. When they said "I love you" to each other the feelings were so real that it was actually hard to watch. (I want to be all up in people's dramatic group dates, but a moment of raw emotion between two people who actually like each other? Ooooh no. That is too awkward.)

So, seeing as we're likely left with Amanda, Caila, and JoJo, I'd say JoJo has the best chance.

Amanda really grew on me during her final episode on the show, but I wonder if she would actually leave her two daughters for such a long time again in order to film the show. As for Caila, I don't see enough personality there for her to carry the show. (This isn't to say she doesn't have plenty of personality in real life, just that it doesn't come across on screen. Trust me, I'm not judging; I would be awful on this show.) But Caila as Bachelorette would be cool since she'd be the first woman of color to be Bachelorette ever. (Fan fave Jubilee Sharpe would also have made a great choice.)

Then there's JoJo, who comes off to me as a classic Bachelorette choice: cute, bubbly, has been through some stuff with an ex, was totally wronged by the Bachelor during her season. Ben broke convention in order to confess his love to JoJo, so her coming back would mean she was kicked off in spite of that, and fans would definitely root for her.

JoJo wouldn't be a game changer. She's not Kaitlyn Bristowe with the dirty jokes and sense of humor on full display, and she wouldn't be helping anything when it comes to the show's lack of diverse Bachelors and Bachelorettes (seriously, y'all, look to Jubilee), but viewers would be interested in her search for love and she's shown that she's a natural on camera. As I see it, if the final four rumor is true, it's gotta be JoJo. Keep an eye out for her controversial brothers this summer!

(Ps. Becca would be great too, so please also consider her. K thanks bye!)
